What adverse reactions are caused by fluoroquinolones?

Disabling, long-lasting and potentially irreversible adverse reactions affecting the musculoskeletal and nervous systems have been reported with these antibiotics. They include:

Peripheral nerve damage
Central nervous system effects
Anaphylaxis or severe allergic reaction
Tendon rupture or damage
Aortic aneurysm or dissection

When will the class action start?

At this stage we’re investigating this as a potential class action. If it proceeds, it’s likely to commence in the second half of 2023.
