Angelica Villar
General Counsel
I treat my clients the way that I would want to be treated – with respect, empathy and sincerity. And I always make it clear to my clients from the outset that when they need me, I’m just a phone call away.
I was encouraged to study law to supplement my business degree. In attaining experience initially in family law, I quickly knew that a career in law is what I wanted to pursue but I wanted to find an area of law that I was not only passionate about but also enabled me to help people in need. I soon gained experience in a small boutique personal injury firm and loved the level of client interaction and rewarding nature of the work – and I haven’t looked back since.
It’s reassuring knowing that I work for a client-first firm that shares my passion for helping injured and ill Australians, but also provides me with all the resources and guidance necessary to excel.
Career highlight:
For me, two achievements stand out. Being admitted as a solicitor at the age of 22 and achieving my Specialist Accreditation in Personal Injury Law.
In my own time:
Away from work, I spend as much time as I can with my husband and young son.
Qualifications and accreditations:
- Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law
- Admitted, Supreme Court of NSW
- Bachelor of Business
- Bachelor of Laws
Although my case is ongoing, Tina, Angelica and Harry have been excellent and extremely helpful. The team show genuine care for their clients. Harry was super down to earth, made me feel comfortable.
