Renee McCarthy
Solicitor
I never undervalue the impact of kindness, patience and courtesy – it’s vital for ensuring clients have a sense of stability and trust in their solicitor during times of uncertainty.
My drive to pursue a career in law comes from my mum, who always taught me to stand up for myself and others, and to never wane in the pursuit of advocating for what’s fair and just. This approach inspired me to work as an advocate for young workers rights in my late teens, which exposed me to the shared plight of many Australians: when we experience something disastrous, we often aren’t aware of the help or support we have available.
I applied to study law at university and never looked back, earning my degree in order to be able to provide those around me with care and support through my career. I was naturally drawn to personal injury law as it allows me to do my part in helping our injured community. I’m fortunate to have found work with Law Partners, a firm which has been built on this very pillar.
Career highlight:
My biggest career highlight to date was when I was admitted as a lawyer. It’s such a special day that I shared with my parents, and really is the key that opens the door to practice!
In my own time:
I’m also a singer outside the office and sing in a classic rock cover band along with my brother and dad! I also love spending time outside and with family, friends, and (of course) my dog.
