I approach each claim as if it were my own: with attention to detail, professionalism, and the determination to get it right. My goal is to make the process as stress-free as possible, so clients can focus on recovery while I handle the rest.
I became a lawyer as I’ve always been driven to help people through some of the toughest times in their lives. Early in my career, I realised how much difference the right legal advice and advocacy can make when someone’s been injured or is struggling to navigate the system.
Personal injury law drew me in because it’s human at its core. Every case is about real people, real challenges, and the chance to make a genuine impact. I love being able to guide clients through a complex process, help them get back on their feet, and ensure their story is heard and respected. I bring a balance of empathy, strategy, and tenacity to every case. Having worked on both the plaintiff and insurer sides of CTP, I know how insurers think, and I use that insight to anticipate issues and strengthen my clients’ positions.
My professional philosophy is simple: clear communication and genuine care. I believe clients should always feel informed, supported, and confident in their legal team. I make it a priority to explain everything in plain and simple language, and to be available when clients need reassurance or clarity. Ultimately, I want every client to know they’re not just another file; their story matters and I’m here to help them achieve the best possible outcome.
Career highlight:
For me, every client is a highlight in their own way. Whether it’s achieving a significant settlement or helping someone secure the treatment and support they need to get their life back on track, each case is equally meaningful.
No matter how big or small the outcome, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the difference it makes and knowing that my work has helped someone return to life with confidence and peace of mind.
Another memorable moment was attending a seminar and finding myself sharing a lift with former High Court Justice Michael Kirby. We had a lovely, albeit brief chat about life and it was one of those small, serendipitous reminders of why I love this profession: it brings together people, ideas, and moments that truly inspire.
In my own time:
Outside of work, I’m a busy mum to two young boys who keep me on my toes. I love spending time outdoors with them and catching up with friends and family who I’m very close with. When I manage a rare quiet moment, you’ll find me on a long morning walk with a coffee in one hand and a trashy pop culture podcast in my ears.
