Alara Burke
Law Clerk
I strive to maintain open and consistent communication, so my clients feel informed, supported, and reassured throughout the claims process.
I decided to pursue a career in law after happening across a legal studies book in the library at my high school. It really sparked my interest, making me curious about how the legal system works in Australia, and how it can be harnessed to help people.
It’s important I get to know my clients and understand their situation, including their concerns and the impact their injury has had on them. I take a thoughtful and detail-oriented approach, while making sure my clients feel supported and well-informed throughout the entire claims process.
I always make sure I communicate clearly to make sure my clients receive the best possible service throughout their claim. In matters like medical negligence, where clients are often going through difficult experiences, I think it’s especially important they feel heard and know their legal team is accessible and responsive.
Career highlight:
My career highlight has been seeing a case I worked on reach settlement for the first time. It was really rewarding to know I was able to contribute to achieving a positive outcome for the client.
In my own time:
I love swimming laps at the pool and spending time at the beach with my family—it’s a great way for me to relax and recharge outside of work.
