Law Partners Injury Lawyers partners with Birth Trauma Australia

Helping more families find support after birth trauma

Birth trauma can affect a parent, baby or family long after the birth itself. Finding clear information and someone who will listen can make it easier to understand what support is available.

That’s why Law Partners Injury Lawyers has partnered with Birth Trauma Australia (BTA). We’re helping more people find BTA’s trusted online information and support resources when they need them.

Supporting the work of Birth Trauma Australia

BTA provides information, education, advocacy and support for women+, birthing people and families affected by birth-related trauma. As BTA’s National Resource Visibility and Reach Impact Partner, we’ll support the visibility and reach of its digital resources.

Amy Dawes OAM, CEO and Founder of Birth Trauma Australia, said:

“The team at Birth Trauma Australia is incredibly grateful for the support of Law Partners Injury Lawyers, who we warmly welcome as our National Resource Visibility and Reach Impact Partner.

“Law Partners Injury Lawyers will be supporting the visibility and reach of our digital resources, which will directly help us to ensure more women+ and their families find our trusted information, practical support and pathways to care during their most vulnerable times.

“Greater visibility means more women+ and families being supported, and greater understanding of birth-related trauma across the broader community.”

The partnership will also give our medical negligence team access to BTA’s trauma-informed training. This will help us strengthen the way we listen to and support people who come to us with concerns about the care they or their baby received.

Elizabeth Utting, Practice Group Leader – Medical Negligence at Law Partners, said:

“Law Partners Injury Lawyers and Birth Trauma Australia share a strong commitment to advocating for women and birthing people affected by birth trauma, and for safe, respectful care throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

“Through this partnership, we’re proud to support Birth Trauma Australia to increase the visibility and reach of its trusted digital resources, helping more women and families find information and support when they need it.

“BTA’s trauma-informed training will also be invaluable in strengthening how our team listens to, communicates with and supports clients through what can be an incredibly difficult and deeply personal experience.”
